Radhanath Swami On What Should be Our Greatest Aspiration

Radhanath Swami On What Should be Our Greatest Aspiration

Krishna consciousness means to understand the value of the association of Krishna’s devotees. We have heard of stories wherein a dog becomes dear to a devotee, and the Lord sends the dog to the spiritual world. So somehow or other to strive to become dear to the devotees is the greatest aspiration that we should have in our lives. We should not have the audacity to try to approach Krishna, God, directly; even if we do, Krishna will not care for us. We know the story of Durvas Muni: he approached Krishna directly, but all that the Lord could do is tell him to take shelter of His devotee. As we do that, the Lord will reveal Himself accordingly.

  1. Maharaj has amazing realizations, especially his powerful and original quotes. Here is one sample: "Material technology heals in retail; and kills in wholesale."

What a powerful statement. It encompasses the entire perspective in its true sense. Just like a Vedic aphormism from the Vedanta Sutra.

    Hare Krishna.

  2. To take shelter of the lotus feet of the Lord's pure devotees should indeed be our topmost aspiration.

we should always serve devotees in the mood of servant of the servant of the servant. then only will get Guru & KRSNA's mercy.

  11. Radhanath Swami is sharing another Spiritual Gem: how to approach God? Not on our strength, but through those whom God loves...so our greatest aspiration is to search out and serve such great souls!

Radhanath Swami himself is exemplary in this matter - he always says whatever he is, is by the mercy and guidance of his guru. Krishna loves us more if we put more layers of devotees between us and Him.
