Radhanath Swami on Eternal Nature

Sanatana dharma means reality. That our eternal nature is to serve, to serve God. And in that service we realize love, God’s Love which is the essential aspiration of every living being to find the pleasure of perfect love. It’s why people murder, it’s why people rob and steal, it’s why people get drunk and intoxicated with drugs, it’s why people go to the race tracks and win or lose money, it’s why people go to the cinemas and watch television, it’s why people give charity to others, it’s why people are looking for a husband or a wife or a girlfriend or a boyfriend, it’s why people want children, it’s why people want relations. If you examine every motivation that every human being has is the desire for pleasure or the reaction to the frustration of not getting pleasure. It’s all connected simply to pleasure. And there’s only one pleasure that can satisfy the heart, that is the pleasure of love. If you have everything else but you don’t have people who love you and you don’t have people you love your life is miserable, it’s lonely, it’s empty. So this is reality and we all have that in common.

Everything in life we do is centered around love and loving relationships. Thanks maharaj for explaining this - we can feel fulfilled only by realizing the love of God through service.

  5. Truly, love and pleasure is what drives all of our actions. But real love can only be derived from God. Nice realization!

  6. As HH Radhanath Swami explains the real pleasure depends on our relationship with Lord and also the relationship with others by having Krishna at the center.

  7. This is very correct and every one canexperence that without loving people around, there is no happiness. But the only person who is most loving and always around us is Krishna and we need to recognize His love in our life.

  8. wonderful realisation by Radhanath Swami. The people in the renounced order of life should be the most lonely ones. However we always find them in bliss because they have found true love in their loving relationship with God and other servants of God. So they are never lonely and always content.

  9. Perfectly said by Radhanath Maharaj. We all search pure love which is our eternal nature. But in this material nature our efforts to find this love are negated by lust, grid and envy. Therefore we must try practice bhakti in our day-to-day life under bonafied guidence like HH.Radhanath Swami and his desciples.Thank you very much.

  11. Radhanath Swami again going to the roots - all of us are seeking pleasures however in a wrong way - so that we lead ourselves and others around to misery...following the path of great souls like Radhanath Swami will lead us to highest pleasure (without any side effect misery!)

  12. The highest pleasure is the pleasure of love and it's unconditional. As Radhanath Swami 0entions here, our constitutional position is to love and serve the Lord and His devotees, by doing which we will get the eternal realm where we can really taste the pleasure of love.
