Radhanath Swami on Greatest of All Time
Throughout history, who were the greatest people that ever lived? Were they the politicians, the atheistic scientists, the athletes? No, they were the saints who dedicated their lives, their souls, everything, to truth. They were willing to sacrifice their whole lives to enlighten people so that they may love God. The saints of India, the saints of Christianity, the saints of Islam, all lived completely pure lives. They were completely peaceful. And they were completely intoxicated - intoxicated with love for God. They spoke their realizations of God with such illuminated hearts, with such realization, that they transformed lives of millions.

ReplyDeleteVery true. Even if there is literature which talks about some personality from the past, it soon fades into oblivion and only the real heros ie. the great saints always remain within the minds of people - those who follow them and also those who don't follow them, but respect them.
