Radhanath Swami on Transformation of Consciousness

Death means transformation. On the gross physical level, death just means transformation of material elements. It’s not that the elements of the body cease to exist; they may burn to ashes if put into fire, or they may decay to become dust if buried into earth. They are just transformed from one form of matter into another. Similarly, death of the ego means transformation of our consciousness - and in that transformation, there is real life.

  2. A very nice point. Death of ego may be painful because one tends to hold on to it, but the result is transformation of the consciousness and a new life.

  6. This is a very nice analogy between death of the body and death of the ego. It makes so much sense now that HH Radhanath Swami has explained it so eloquently.
