Radhanath Swami on The Right to Live

According to the laws of karma, whatever we do must come back to us. If we cause harm to another human being, we will suffer that harm, we cannot escape that. factually, every living entity is a child of God. the Vedic literatures teach that even the most insignificant animals have the right to live in the pursuit of happiness, just as human beings do. By interfering with their pursuit of happiness or by causing them unnecessary pain, we become responsible and liable to accept the same reaction upon ourselves.

  1. This spiritual principle goes in tandem with the law of material science which states that 'Every action has an equal and opposite reaction'. Radhanath Swami has thus presented a very logical & scientific angle to the right to exist.

  3. People generally talk only about the right to live. They don't really know that we are struggling for the right to live to pursue happiness. More and more trouble. All glories to Srila Radhanath Swami for bringing this to our notice!

Absolutely true maharaj! Canakya Pandit also says the same thing - "A learned man is one who feels for the pain of others".

  17. We can't be selective about who has the right to live. By God's laws, everyone has been created by Him and everyone will depart from this world as per His Time.
