Radhanath Swami on Perfecting the Practice of Love

If we don’t love each other – God’s parts and parcels – then all lofty talks about God are superficial and meaningless. Without humbly serving devotees, without being genuinely eager to help others, any sentiment of love for God is merely theoretical. We must first learn to humble ourselves to serve others; this will create a climate in which to learn how to actually love each other. We must then practice loving each other; eventually we will perfect the practice.

  10. First be humble, then serve others in that mood of a servant, then gradually start loving others, keep practicing it, and in due course of time perfect that activity of truly loving others, and eventually, reach the platform of knowing and loving GOD. This is a very systematic process outlined by Radhanath Swami. Incredible clarity of thought.

  13. It's so easy to get caught up in external vision because of our unnatural living. If only we can be a little introspective will we realize that love is the only activity we are capable of.

  16. We can't be selective in our love, otherwise we will be only serving our egos. We have to see everything from the perspective of God.

  19. Love is selfless and all encompassing. We all are capable of loving each other but due to false ego we become forgetful of our loving propensity.Like Maharaj says cultivating humility can only help us love others and serve in a way that pleases Krishna.

  20. Radhanath Swami very nicely explained to me that real love on a spiritual basis comes by genuine humility on spiritual basis, understanding that ALL of us are parts and parcels of God.

  22. Humbling oneself to serve others is the stepping stone to actually start to love each other. This is the real test, when the false ego barks like anything, Maharaj says to stop feeding the false ego(bad dog) and feed the good dog of humility. All glories to His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaj for his selfless service of dedicating his life for uplifting everyones consciousness.
