Beware of Vaishnava Offence
We should be careful not to spoil our spiritual lives. We should understand that it could take many years to cultivate our Krishna consciousness but all of that will be covered by a foolish offence that we may make. Devotional service cannot be destroyed but it can be covered by the cloud of illusion. Offence can cover all our spiritual progress for many births. it takes years and years to cultivate the tree of devotional service and all that is covered and lost if we misbehave towards other Vaishnavas. You may not find it for many lifetimes. So we have to be very careful. Not only about offending Vaishnavas, but also about performing sinful activities that are completely against the principles of Krishna consciousness.

ReplyDeleteDue to Vaishnava apradha we can loose our KC. And to save our self we need to cooperate and respect each vaishnava as a humble servant. And Radhanath Swami is a perfect example of this how he is respecting the devotees. Thank you very much Maharaj for helping us.
ReplyDeletetime after time it seems that you talk right to me with your messages Maharaj. Thank you very much! Hare Krisna!

ReplyDeleteVery important thing to guard against in our spiritual life - Vaisnava Offense.
ReplyDeleteRadhanath Swami in one para is giving us the essence of devotional practice.
ReplyDeleteHow true! Krishna says He lives in the heart of a Vaishnava. If we hurt a Vaishnava Krishna who is living in his heart is also offended.
ReplyDeleteIt is really scary to realze that offences against vaishnavas and sinful activities can negate any good that we have done earlier or doing now. We have to be so careful. Thank you Radhanath Swami for giving us a wake-up call.
ReplyDeleteWe stand to lose all our accumulated piety if we commit a Vaishnava offence. So Radhanath Swami's warning regarding this should indeed be taken to heart. Vaishnava Offence is something Lord Krishna can never ever tolerate & forgive.
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping us with the consequences of Offending vaishnavas and letting us know that we should try to have life which is sinless
ReplyDeleteIn some transcriptions, read a beautiful transcription of lecture by Radhanath Swami where he compared Vaishnav offense to letting loose a mad elephant into your beautiful garden. No two guesses what the elephant would do!!!

Thanks for sharing......
ReplyDeleteNothing is more dangerous in a Spiritualists path then offending devotees. However we again and again become slackened on this point due to our false go. As soon as we are proud - the probability of committing offenses is 100%.
ReplyDeleteRadhanath Swami beautifully explains in his talks the only preventive medicine for this most dangerous disease is to practise humility.
Wondeful article!! Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such an important instruction! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wake up call...
ReplyDelete"Not only about offending Vaishnavas, but also about performing sinful activities that are completely against the principles of Krishna consciousness. "....
That is heavy
if only we can remind ourselves constantly of what Radhanath Swami says here, our lives will be successful.
ReplyDeleteWow. As usual, Radhanath Swami hits directly the target where i am losing my focus. Manier times, we donot come to know that we are committing offenses, especially for me, due to my conditioned nature. Radhanath Swami rightly says, "He reasons ill, who say Vaishnavas die, for they live in sound and living try to spread the Holy Name"
ReplyDeleteThis instruction from Maharaj is the most important one. As Maharaj mentioned one Vaishnav apradh can take many births to overcome. Maharaj, please protect us and keep us focused on devotional service to the lotus feet of Krishna. Please protect us from this apradh. Thank you Maharaj.

ReplyDeleteWhat is most repeatedly heard from Radhanath Swami that Offending Vaishnavs and committing sinful activities is most dangerous for those aspiring to advance on spritual path . Most important he lives by these principles.
ReplyDeleteRadhanath Swami is amazing. Whatever he says is simply superb and he has realized it.
ReplyDeleteRadhanath Swami always emphasizes on this but its so difficult to implement but if we do it then we will be successful on our spiritual path.
ReplyDeleteRadhanath Swami's words are just like nectar. Its a great joy to hear from him, hear about him. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first of the ten offence, knowingly one tends to take this lightly ,Maharaj please protect our devotional tree
ReplyDeleteRadhanath Swami had once remarked that "We should always strive to accept the lower position whenever we have any differences with another devotee". If we follw this instruction sincerely, we can practically be saved from committing any Vaishanava offence.
ReplyDeleteThis article is an eye opener.
ReplyDeleteI learnt that God forgives offenses to Himself but not to His devotees. This point is nicely explained by Radhanath Swami. This is the ideal one must strive for.
ReplyDeleteI am very grateful to Radhanath Maharaj for saving us by his wonderful teachings and alerting.
ReplyDeleteRanjeet S

Wonderful! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteRadhanath Swami Maharaj's every lecture is so special, meaningful and powerful - most of his lectures stresses on vaishnava aparadha.
ReplyDeleteMore we commit vaishnava aparadha more we are bound to lose our spiritual integrity.
indeed vaishnava aparadh is compared to mad elephant offense. radhanath swami is teaching us by his personal example how to avoid this offense.
ReplyDeleteThanks Radhanath Swami for alerting us.....

ReplyDeleteAs a perfect representative of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, H.H. Radhanath Swami gives all of us disciples and aspiring disciples a much needed word of caution against the dangers of Vaisnava Apradha.
ReplyDeletethank u Maharaj.
ReplyDeleteThank you Radhanath Swami for always giving us the warning to be careful against Vaishnav Offence.
ReplyDeleteThank you Radhanath Swami for alerting us against Vaisnava offences.
ReplyDeleteRadhanth Swami Maharaj you always hold Vaishnav seva to be the topmost in devotional service and offences to them to be like weeds that destroy our bhakti lata beeja.
ReplyDeleteThank you Radhanath Swami for this alert. I have read in Journey Home book, that Radhanath Swami never never found faults with anyone or critizised anyone.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is very true. Maya is watching us all the time. Ready to take over our mind. We always have to remember Krishna and never forget Krishna. That is the only way we can keep Maya far away and keep the offensive mood far away. Thank you for sharing this information. Hare bol!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, when i will be able to follow this. Am waiting.
ReplyDeleteAll thanks to Radhanath Swami for opening my eyes from ignorance of real self that we should carefully guard against offenses. Offenses arises from familiarity. We should give all respects to others as we are their servants. Radhanath Swami, although such an elevated and exalted devotee of the Lord, lives by this fundamental principle of 'servant of servant...'
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to know from Radhanath Swami that the devotional service can not be lost. At the same time it can be covered if we offend Vaishnavas. Thank you Radhanath Swami maharaj for this nice point.
ReplyDeleteThank you Radhanath Swami for this message. Offence against a Vaishnava is just like a mad elephant which can destroy the Bhakti creeper within a moment.
ReplyDeleteThank you much for keep reminding us.
