Radhanath Swami on Working for Higher Principles

We have to be very enthusiastic and eager to accomplish wonderful things for God. But we shouldn’t be greedy to accomplish things if it is undermining the higher principle. That is, we should always work with a focus on the higher principles, and our work must always be harmonized with this higher principle of what will please God.

We will know what really pleases God when we are not selfish, when we don’t have ulterior motives, when we are actually in the spirit of servant of the servant of the servant, and when we are really happy to see others getting blessings and even doing better than us. This pleases God and that’s when real spiritual empowerment comes.

    Wonderful instruction on balancing enthusiasm to serve and maintain integrity, keeping right attitude. Many times being over enthusiastic we may loose the direction while speeding up our life, though spiritual... and this instruction of Radhanath Swami helps us to keep one eye and focus and not to deviate from that. This is so important in todays 'world of fastest..' Thanks Radhanath Swami for guiding every step of conditioned souls.

    To be happy on seeing others getting blessings is very instructive. Once Maharaj said in a class, that if one is happy in seeing others getting mercy, just by that he can make more advancement than the one receiving the mercy.
    It's all a matter of consciousness which Maharaj clearly explains as for the higher principles rather than selfish interests.
