Radhanath Swami on Faith

No amount of study of scriptures, austerity or charity can help us know God. The only way is to follow the footsteps of saintly people. When we have faith in that, that faith shows us the way. But is faith unscientific? Science too is based on faith. Scientists have faith in other scientists. Faith is there in every moment of our life. Even when we breathe there is unconscious faith that by inhaling air we will get the oxygen required for nourishment. But to break the limitations of senses, mind, intelligence and ego, there has to be a different kind of faith - faith in the examples from the lives of great saints.

    Thank you for sharing this. Faith is usually looked down upon by non-transcendentalists. Maharaj's brief explaination makes it clear and gives me the confidence.

    Without faith we can't perform our day to day activities, so when we really want to know about God, we must have immense faith on those who have made their lives perfect by self-realization. Nice message from Radhanath Swami.

    Faith sustains the spiritual life just like oxygen sustains the body.Faith is the visa required to go back home back to Godhead,a key ingredient in "Bhakti'.Maharaj has given brilliant analogy to explain the significance of faith. Thanks for sharing.

    Radhanath Swami very eloquently explained importance of faith in our lives. In general people think that religion requires faith but Radhanath Swami wonderfully mentioned that even science also needs faith.
