Radhanath Swami on The Monster Striking Back

We should not feed an envious venomous serpent; that will only increase its venom. Due to its natural envy, it will eventually strike us. This is what we do in our lives. We put our precious energy into selfish egoistic activities without serving God. Eventually the monster of our own karma comes back to strike us. We are left wondering why, despite being so nice, bad things are happening to us.

  6. Our own karma, yet we see it like this is the first action, and not the reaction to whatever action we have already done. Hypocrisy, at least in my case.

  7. These comments and writing make it so clear that for any uneventuality; if one wishes to blame there is only person to blame. SELF.
Better to work now self and not to feed the serpent than later blame others.
    Thank you Radhanath Swami.

  16. This is a wonderful answer to the question people usually ask "Why do the bad things happen to good people". When we try to enjoy without God, we have to carry out the karma with us in the same or different life and then we don't understand why things are happening the way they are happening. Thank you Radhanath Swami for enlightening us for this.
