Radhanath Swami on Die to Live
Material illusory consciousness is one of exploitation, and the real consciousness of the soul is a consciousness of service. If you want to live in truth, you will have to die as you are in your present state of consciousness. Death to the material illusory consciousness, the false ego, is a process – the most important process. This process is the very basis of all spiritual paths. The process is like the purification of gold; the longer the gold is in fire, the more its gross coverings are burnt away, the more its original shine manifests, and the more it looks beautiful.
