Radhanath Swami on Getting out of Prison

Success in life has nothing to do with making a comfortable happy situation in this world. Success in life is getting out of this world. There are first class, second class, third class and fourth class cells within the prison. No doubt elevating yourself from a fourth class, dirty, filthy cell to a first class, nice, clean cell is improvement. But that is not the goal of life. With the same amount of energy that you’re using to buy the different prison officials to get an elevation in your cell status,
you can contact your lawyer and make a real solution to get out of prison. Similarly, people are very much eager to try to create a nice situation in a world of suffering, a place where death will be the final blow to diffuse all of their dreams. But if they invest the same energy with which they’re struggling and toiling to try to be happy in this world into God consciousness, they are making a permanent solution to their problems.

    Unless I hear this message repeatedly, it doesn't sink in. I keep thinking that one prison cell is better than another, rather than getting out of jail. How stupid am I!

    Radhanath Swami has used a very wonderful analogy to drive home the point that all our material pursuits will ultimately prove to be futile at the time of death, unless we dovetail all our efforts in devotional service to the Lord.

    Which is better dry stool or wet stool. The answer is obvious . Then why do we want to make elaborate arrangements to prolong our stay in prison.Radhanath Swamis teachings are like path guiders.

    As Radhanath Swami is saying that people try to change their situation but are not finding happiness because they are trying to change forms of enjoyment but the experience is same everytime but in God consciousness forms may be the same but experience is always different, exciting and uplifting
