Radhanath Swami on Self Realization for the Uncertain World

This world is full of uncertainties and the fact is we can never change the condition of this world. We can make so many arrangements to change and adjust the environment. And we must as far as possible create an environment that is conducive to peace, prosperity, and happiness. But ultimately this environment is beyond our control. Therefore intelligent people, rather than simply trying to adjust the environment, try to adjust their own consciousness. The real solution is to change ourselves. We have to learn how to live harmoniously within this environment. And for this reason, throughout history, the process of self realization has been explained by great saintly persons, by great philosophers, by great persons of various religions.

    It is said that pain and pleasure depends on our consciousness. A miser person may have everything but still he will be always dissatisfied and restless whereas a pure devotee of the Lord may not have much material wealth but he is always internally satisfied.
    It is our consciousness which determines our attitude towards life.
    So, we should always endeavor to purify our consciousness.

    This world is full of duality.The owner, The Supreme Personality Of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna certifies in BhagvadGita that this world is temporary and miserable.Therefore,an intelligent person should not waste his/her time in adjusting with the situation ,rather than he/she must take guidence from Spiritual Leader like Radhanath Swamiji and trancend this material conditions of dualities.Thank you very much.

    We can change something which is inside our circle of influence and by this we can increase the scope of this, but if we try to make things better by improving which is in the circle of concern, we would decrease our scope of circle of influence also. Nice message from Radhanath Swami.
