Radhanath Swami on True Love

Even in this world real love is not selfish – it’s selfless, willing to make sacrifices for the beloved. That love actually satisfies the heart because there’s some reality to it. Why? Because that’s the nature of love in its perfect state - the soul’s love for the Absolute Truth, the supreme soul, or Krishna, the origin of love. Krishna is all-attractive. He is the source of all beauty, all knowledge, all strength, all wealth, all renunciation. Thus he is the ultimate object of everyone’s love. To surrender to Krishna is the expression of true love, it’s actually the source of the greatest shelter and the greatest happiness.

    Thank you Maharaj for drawing that line saying that wherever there is love it has to be selfless that means wherever there is selfishness involved it is not love. Also the ultimate object of that love is Krishna because He is the source of that love.
