Radhanath Swami on Sankirtan

Sankirtan is not restricted to the loud chanting and glorification of the Holy Names. It includes any other activity that we might do to assist great souls in glorifying the holy name. Thus, whether we clean toilets, or give a discourse to ten thousand people, if we do it as a sacrifice for the pleasure of Krishna, then that’s also sankirtan – the chanting of the Holy Names.

    Radhanath Swami Maharaj has very nicely stressed on the fact that in matters pertaining to devotional service, every task performed is an act of expressing one's love for God & therefore everything needs to be seen with equanimity.

    Radhanath Swami explains that as long as we are assisting great devotees, we are part of the Sankirtan movement. And the proof is the deep satisfaction one feels by assisting the devotees one way or the other.
